The 21 Day Flip – Dumpsters, Police, a Broken Finger, and a FINISHED house.
The 21 Day Flip is finished – but not without its challenges. This blog post is dedicated to the issues we have overcome (since the flood we had the day before we got keys).
We ordered a 40 foot dumpster and filled it! The first one sat filled for days before we could get it picked up. When we ordered the second dumpster we had to get another giant dumpster (the neighbors loved that!) because they didn’t have any smaller ones available in our timeframe. The driver must have been in a hurry when we dropped it off – because he dropped it from 3-4 feet onto the driveway. We were extremely lucky that he didn’t crack the driveway. Below is a video of the first dumpster finally going away!
I didn’t get pictures of the other incidents we had . . . Chad stopped to change a tire for an elderly lady last week and in the process broke his finger! He continued to work at the house and managed to change most of the lighting, most of the plumbing, installed 2 fans, installed all the new appliance and power washed the entire driveway – and never once complained!
Then one of the contractors backed into Kirk’s truck and pulled the bumper off! Sadly he denied it at first, but then the police came and he changed his story quickly. With all the effort to finish the house, Kirk still has to fix his truck. Maybe next week when we finally take some time off.
Its been an adventurous week of house flipping. Besides all the drama, the contractors finished up on time and did an awesome job! We finished all the final touches, and stayed up late staging and getting photos. Below is a sneak peak at some of the photos!
Mark your calendar for Saturday May 9 from 2-8 for the Open House. Come see the end result and have a margarita.
